Buffalo Lodge, with two hundred rolling acres of woods and grasslands, is a destination for weddings, corporate retreats and family getaways. Located just 45 minutes from Kansas City and with two on- site facilities, they can accommodate groups of 10 to 300, providing not only a beautiful venue but a chance to disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect with nature.
When Buffalo Lodge approached us, they weren’t Buffalo Lodge at all. They were known as Arborview Equine Retreat and were exploring a variety of different business models, from hosting events in their lodge to facilitating corporate team building retreats using their horses. They came to us to find a way to raise awareness, present what they’re doing in a compelling way and overcome some of the key obstacles they had identified in their attempts to monetize their property.
Before any tangible work could be done, we needed to determine what it was that we should be selling. Through an extensive strategy step, we helped Arborview Equine Retreat, a horse-led team building program, become Buffalo Lodge, a destination wedding venue. From there, we established the new Buffalo Lodge brand and executed a marketing plan that included the design and development of a beautiful new website.
