We’ve got some exciting news—we recently started a partnership with Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences (KCU for short) to serve as an extension of their marketing and communications team.
As a partner and part of their team, we’ll fit and play whatever roles are needed—from updating and matching brand collateral to working on strategic marketing initiatives. And since you probably already know about us, we’d like to share a bit about them.
On the Forefront of Health Care Since 1916
Founded in 1916, KCU is Kansas City’s oldest medical school and one of the nation’s founding colleges of osteopathic medicine. The second largest provider of physicians in Missouri and Kansas, the school ranks as the largest medical school in Missouri and the 10th largest in the United States.
The school’s curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning, real-time clinical decision-making, and the importance of empathy. As a part of this, KCU recently broke ground on the Center for Medical Education Innovation—what will be one of the nation’s most advanced simulations centers dedicated to simulating real-world experiences with haptics, VR, simulation manikins, standardized patients (real actors who role-play patients to build up bedside manner), and much more.
KCU’s mission and tagline is “improving the well-being of the communities we serve”—and they mean it. The school has a number of community service and outreach efforts throughout the year. Their Score 1 For Health program, for example, provides free health screenings to over 12,000 children from low-income, under-resourced communities in Kansas City every year.
