We understand that there is a possibility that you haven’t been as excited about this day as we have, but we’re releasing the balloons and sending out the marching band anyway. We just launched a new Flash website for Ochsner, Hare & Hare, a landscape architecture and city planning firm who has visually shaped not just Kansas City, but communities all over Missouri and the nation. The custom design and development of this site has been a passion of ours since the earliest days of our firm and today we feel very much like parents waving goodbye to their children, heading off to their first day of school. Luckily, we don’t need to worry about bullies, because ain’t nobody on the web messing with this little guy. To see the site, please visit OHHKC.com.
In the next few days, we’ll be posting an entry on this blog that will provide an in-depth look at our process to design this site over the past 6 months. But in the meantime, here is some basic information to get you started:
Ochsner Hare & Hare is a landscape architecture and city planning company with the unique distinction of having an incredibly rich past while still maintaining a progressive edge. Our aim was to construct a site that showcased the classic history of OHH by displaying the beauty of architectural hand drawing coupled with progressive and organic interaction that would speak to their future.
Because OHH is celebrating their Centennial in 2010, their body of work is significant. We constructed a content management system (CMS) that will provide a growing database for past, present, and future projects. Finally, the site’s graphic design is cohesive with the company in that the functionally strong yet aesthetically pleasing quality is an extension of the OHH brand personality.
